252Basics to Sunday Mornings!!!

252Basics is a unique approach to curriculum built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years, and in divine and human favor.”
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each Basic Truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and is taught over a three-year track. The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on a Core Virtue and Memory Verse as the framework for each month.
Each Sunday the children will start out at 9:45 in their age-appropriate small group to get an ice-breaker for that day’s topic. Then all the small groups will meet together in the sanctuary for the Large Group time where they will worship and be taught the lesson for the day. Then students will return to their small groups to continue doing activities that highlight the lessons from the topic of the day.
At the 11:00 hour parents will come and pick up their children in their small groups to go to worship. At the point in the service when the children are dismissed, they will go back their small group where they started to get a refresher of what they are learning and complete the activities for the day.
Students will be sent home with a devotional card to use in the personal devotions throughout the week and a card to hang on the refrigerator door that will connect what they are doing at church to what they do at home.
We are looking for all the children to come and make Sunday mornings an exciting time as we embark on new adventure together! Tell them to bring their friends because 252 is the place to be!
